Roddick Mojo's His Way to Title No. 20

Ha! Take that, American Express. Or how about: Eat it, Tennis magazine.

But you know, no matter how many titles Andy wins, there's always this general perception from the public that he's underperforming.

Tomorrow, Andy will play good friend Taylor Dent at the Paris Masters. Winning this title would go a long way towards erasing the USO nightmare but some feel that it could be a blessing in disguise if Roddick should lose early, so that he could better prepare himself for the year-end Shanghai Masters Cup. I say: a win is a win. Go for it, Andy.

Day three preview : Here comes Andy!
After capturing in Lyon his fifth title of the season, No. 1 seed Andy Roddick is making his tournament debut against countryman Taylor Dent.
Freshly arrived from Lyon where he captured on Sunday his 5th title of 2005, Andy Roddick is looking like the big favourite at the BNP Paribas Masters. The American ranked 3rd on the ATP ranking, has never won in Paris before. The presence of his parents in the stands might offer him an extra motivation as he faces a dangerous opponent: his countryman Taylor Dent.
Although Roddick has won his last three duels against Dent who defeated him once, in 2003, the two always had tight battles against each other. Furthermore, Dent displayed some very convincing tennis on Tuesday on his way to a straight set victory against Sébastien Grosjean. First serve percentage should be the key of this battle of big servers.

SO THERE'S THE MOJO. Andy Roddick faced only two break points against 19-year-old Gael Monfils in winning the Lyon GP final. Andy did not drop serve all week — holding serve in 51 straight games — and concluded the tournament with 70 aces.
